How To Renew Your Passport

our passports are nearly expired, so we decided to renew it on a weekend since the kids have no classes, found an open schedule in their Araneta Cubao branch...
what to do, how to do it and how long would it take, i will answers it all here...

first, fill up their online application of renewal in their website, get your schedule day and time most convenient for you and your companion...
prepare all the requirements, ours was the following:
a. online application, please print it
b. original copies of marriage contract, birth certificate, passport, ID's and have all your documents xerox in back to back form
c. be in the designated branch 30 mins early

our scheduled time was 2:30 pm but we were allowed to go inside at 2 pm...
first stop is this information side where they will checked your application and requirements too...
and they will attached to your application form this green slip as to what you will going to do step by step
then, we fall in line to this step one precessing area for 2 hours and 30 minutes, yes, standing all throughout, good thing i send the kids outside with Han and instructed him to bring the kids in a playing area so they will not mind waiting, while i remained in the line...
this man, an employee of DFA, sensed that there are a lot of people and the process was so slow, so he helped checked our requirements if everything is complete or not...thank God!...and while i still in the processing line, i asked Hani and the kids to go back and fall in line in step 3 even though i am not finished yet, so that by the time i'm done, we are already ahead and near the end line of the last steps...
after processing, paid to the cashier, the shortest line among the 3 steps...cost of a renewal is now 1,200 per person...
then finally after 3 hours, we are near the encoding area, it took us another 45 mins to be called for finalization...

then paid for our passport courier to be delivered in our house...

is this logo inside the DFA office true to what it says? i would say partly yes, the employees are so helpful and accommodating, the only thing that made everybody dismayed was the long line, maybe because Araneta Center is accessible to everyone hence a lot of people prefer this branch that causes a long line, not unlike in megamall where my sister had her passport renewed, it just took her 30 minutes to be finsihed....but for us, it took us 4 hours to finished all the process. Did i answer all the questions above?
